[VACANCY] Paralegal / Project officer: Migrant Paralegal Project

LHR is an independent human rights organisation with a four-decade track record in human rights activism and public interest litigation in South Africa. We offer human rights activists and lawyers an exciting and challenging work environment covering a wide range of social justice issues.

 

LHR is inviting applications for the position of project officer to work on a project to build paralegal capacity within migrant communities to ensure better access to justice and essential services to migrants and refugees.

The Project Officer will be located in LHR’s Johannesburg law clinic, which provides free legal services to indigent asylum-seekers, refugees and migrant clients.

 

Requirements: Tertiary qualification in law, paralegal or relevant field. Good writing skills and a valid driver’s license. Experience working in communities with networks with the diaspora.
